Latitude Restaurant Group has long prided itself on offering patrons superb customer service and superior cuisine. Latitude is now also known as a leader in its Asian fusion themes and creative culinary concepts. The restaurants with an Asian Fusion influence include Mikado Downtown, Mikado Cottonwood, Ichiban, Hapa Grill and Kampai. Each restaurant’s menu fuse flavors from Asia with those from the West, specifically Europe, Latin America and the Pacific Islands. To achieve his fusion vision, Kwon wooed renowned Asian fusion chef Toshio Sekikawa from San Francisco to head menu development for Latitude’s existing and future restaurants.
The year 2006 proved to be a year of growth for Latitude with the addition of several new concepts. The first addition was Harry's offering American classic cuisine including steaks, seafood , burgers, flatbread and sushi. The first Harry's location was originally at the E- Center built in the summer of 2004. In the spring of 2006, the restaurant not only reinvented its menu and interiors but it moved locations to Sugarhouse. A second location was opened in the the summer at the RiverPark corporate center in South Jordan. Harry's decor is comfortable yet modern with its high ceilings, lighting features and modern oil paintings created by Briettney Poore-Day a local artist.
In spring of 2006 Latitude aquired Cafe Pierpont, a locals favorite mexican restaurant since 1985. Cafe Pierpont offers savory mexican cuisine and is known for its homemade tortillas and a fresh salsas. In fall of 2006, Latitude prouldy opened Utah's first Ruth's Chris Steak House, the nations number one steak house. From the U.S. Prime steaks, broiled to perfection at 1800 degrees, to the expertly executed seafood, New Orleans-inspired appetizers, unforgettable desserts and award winning wine list, this is a steakhouse to which others aspire.
